This weblog explores all currents running through Catholicism in particular and religion in general. It also explores the reaches of those currents in other disciplines such as philosophy, literary criticism, biblical hermeneutics, medicine and ethics. The approach is generally theological with serious inoculations from post-structuralism, including deconstruction and phenomenology.

Givenness of the Phenomenological Selves
The emerging self constitutes the hermeneutics of givenness. The gift, despite its self-donation in total abandon, is only seen by eyes whose vision ever-widens in its gaze upon what is given. The given gives itself completely, unconditionally, anonymously in a voice that insists its call be heard by a hearer, a recipient---a receiver open to the insistence of givenness.
